RUDE

I just had to share this moment I had.....A lady that I had only met once before came into my work for an interview and this is what she asked me:

So....are you pregnant....or are you just fat?

She said those exact words to me...what the?? I didnt think I had gained that much weight...apparently it was still too hard for her to tell if it was a baby in there or just flab. SO I chalked this one up as the ruddest thing anyone has said to me thus far during my pregnancy! Can anyone top that one? I tried not to be too offended but I couldnt help it to be a little offended, I think it really took me by suprise because I didnt think I looked that bad! I mean yeah I have a belly and yeah Ive gained almost 20 pounds total already but I still didnt think it was THAT bad. oh boy the joys of being prego! I think Im over thinking it too much and that she was just a rude person. Anyways just thought Id share my lovely story!

  1. Hi Tasha, my name is Melissa and I am a friend of your husbands family. I too had a very rude experince when I was pregnant, last summer while flying home, I sat in my seat on the plane and found that there was no way I would get that seatbelt around my belly ( I was 34 weeks and shouldnt have been on a plane) So I asked the flight attendant for an extender seeing as how I was much to pregnant and in front of the whole plane as loud as she could, said "yeah right, good excuse" and walked away. I had to get up and waddle to the front of the plane and ask for it again, she again said yeah right, long story short they could not take off because I could not buckle my belt and the captain finally came out and asked them to give the extender to me that he didnt care if I was lying. Needless to say I will NEVER fly Northwest again, also on the same trip, I asked a flight attendant if my husband and I could sit together due to being so preggo and she said no dont ask me again, Im to busy to help you. Girl I feel your pain, some people are SO rude. Cant wait to meet your lil girl :-)

  2. Hi Tasha,
Don't even sweat it. Some people really are just what you said, RUDE! And that's what that person was being. I have seen you several times this month and I think you look great. You totally do not look fat, only pregnant. I have had plenty of people ask me that when I was thin and very pregnant. They are just ignorant. Don't let it get it you down, your adorable.

  3. At the grocery store a lady said to me "I hope you're having twins or you need to lose some weight!" I still wonder what the heck that meant! Was it obvious I was preg and a joke? Or did she just think I was that fat? No idea. I was 8 months. People will be people I guess. Your belly pics are adorable. No way are you fat. Ignore 'em

  4. Its kind of like the guy I work with who told me a few weeks ago, after eyeing me up and down, that I needed to "lay off the bon bons." Who are these people?

  5. No way are you fat Tash! You're skinny, skinny, skinny, then a baby bump, then more skinny, skinny, skinny. You're the perfect specimen of a beautiful pregnant lady and just let it go. When I was pregnant with Elizabeth, I was only a few weeks along and we went to a furniture store because our mattress was awful, anyway, so I told the sales lady that I was pregnant and knew I'd be getting uncomfortable soon and she said, yeah, I hate that stage. Where you don't look pregnant, you look fat. Ugh! I was only like, 6 weeks along, NO BELLY AT ALL. lol! I was pretty mad at the time, but looking back, I realise she's just a meanie. :P lol! So stick up your chin chickie, it'll be over in all due time and then all you'll remember is how fabulous your baby is. Love ya!! Alexis~*
